Kona Bistro & Cofee Bar 31 West High Street Oxford, Ohio 513 523 0686 A really fun, casual place to eat in Oxford, Ohio, is Kona Bistro & Coffee Bar. I ate dinner at Kona twice.
Appetizers included crostini and mediterranean munchies. The baby greens gourmet salad was excellent for dinner. The Thai salad looked scrumptious. It was also hot and spicey.
The selection of sandwiches is great, and they all sounded gourmet-ish and tasty. Also, there is a nice selection of pastas. The entrees included such things as jambalaya, Indian stuffed burrito, ale marienate flank steak, and island grilled chicken.
For those of you who head for Oxford for alumni weekends, conferences, or parents' weekend, this is one of the few very nice, casual eateries.
Uptown Bakery & Cafe, The 109 W. High Street Oxford, Ohio 45056 513 523 0770 If you happen to be in Oxford, Ohio, the home of Miami University, you may wish to have a good cup of coffee, a latte, or a cup of expresso along with a freshly baked good. If so, The Uptown Bakery & Cafe is the place to go. After visiting the Saturday farmers' market, it was fun to catch a vanilla latte and a muffin at The Uptown Bakery & Cafe.
There are numerous coffees and teas from which to choose. Also, fresh baked goods and breakfast selections are available.
Also, you can special order a dessert for your own celebration.
This light eatery is a few blocks of easy walking from the campus.
The hours are Monday - Friday: 6:30am until 12pm
Saturday - Sunday: 7:30am until 1pm
