Rosario
1 Rosario Way
Eastsound, Orcas Island, Washington 98245

Rosario is a quiet resort on the very rural Orcas Island. The resort has been remodeled after new ownership. We stayed in one of the units up on the hill. It was very nice.

It was a little hike to the restaurant, but we enjoyed the walk. The food was excellent and the service was very good.

Orcas Island is one of the well-known San Juan Islands in northern Washington State. It is a much quieter island than its neighboring San Juan Island. To get there, you can take a ferry from Anacortes or Vancouver, B.C. or you can take the clipper ship from Victoria. As well, you can take a float plane from Seattle to the resort.

For more information about travelling to Rosario, call the resort.

Friday Harbor House

Friday Harbor, Washington

The Friday Harbor House sits on a high bluff a few blocks to the right of the ferry dock in the historic fishing village Friday Harbor. We did not stay at this 20-guestroom inn, but we did have a wonderful dinner at their restaurant. If we were to make reservations here, we would request a room with a marine view. The room rates are fairly expensive during the summer (July, August, September), but rates are lower during other months.

The Inn at Langley on Whidbey Island and The Inn at Ludlow Bay on the Olympic Peninsula are both owned by the same group (CRG Hospitality). I have not stayed at any of these inns.
